Overview
The vortex flowmeter is a type of velocity flowmeter designed based on the Kármán vortex street principle. It is primarily used for measuring the flow of fluid media in industrial pipelines, including gases, steam, and liquids, for process control and measurement applications.
The LUGB series vortex flowmeter, depending on the selected configuration, can provide the following functions: measurement of temperature, pressure, instantaneous flow, and totalized flow of pipeline media, pulse output, (4–20) mA analog signal output, RS485 communication (Modbus RTU protocol), IoT connectivity via GPRS.
Vortex flowmeters are widely applied in industries such as heating, gas supply, chemical, environmental protection, metallurgy, textiles, steel, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, and wastewater treatment. They are suitable for measurement and control of superheated steam, saturated steam, compressed air, general gases (e.g., oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, natural gas, coal gas), as well as water and various liquids (e.g., water, gasoline, alcohol, benzene, etc.).

The instrument coefficient depends solely on the geometry of the bluff body, eliminating the need for fluid property compensation and generally requiring no recalibration after part replacement.
